Does ‘Twilight’ Star Robert Pattinson’s Mom Prefer His Ex Kristen Stewart Over Fiancée FKA Twigs?

Following Robert Pattinson’s engagement to British singer FKA Twigs, many have found it hard to envision Pattinson in a relationship with someone besides his former girlfriend and Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart. Some have even speculated that Pattinson’s mother, Clare Pattinson, actually prefers her son to be with Stewart over Twigs.

However, despite these rumors, it seems as though Pattinson’s mom is actually fully supportive of her son and his relationship with Twigs. In fact, according to the Daily Mail, Clare joined her son in Manchester to watch Twigs perform at an arts festival at the Old Granada Studios.

If Clare doesn’t approve of her son’s engagement to Twigs, then it would seem that attending Twig’s performance and offering her support to the singer would be the last thing she would do. Though this might disappoint some fans, it seems as though Clare is on board with her son’s coming wedding plans.

Meanwhile, Stewart, who was recently spotted leaving a restaurant in Los Feliz, California after grabbing a quit bite to eat, is trying her best to move on with her acting career and leave her Twilight days behind her. With that in mind, the actress’s old Twilight directors recently sat down with The Hollywood Reporter and praised her and Pattinson’s role in the hit franchise.

“Kristen being the first American actress to win a Cesar was pretty f*cking cool,” Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey stated in the interview. “And Rob’s just worked with a string of people you’d want to be on your filmography when you’re done.”

The directors went on to state that they try their best to stay connected with all their former Twilight cast. “We keep in touch with all of them in the way you keep in touch with actors who have busy lives and are half your age,” they explained.

With both Pattinson and Stewart moving on with various film projects, the directors also praised them for their choice in the roles they have taken following the Twilight films.

“Every half-year we catch up and try to find something else to work on together. They’ve each been really smart about the way they’ve followed up their Twilight careers in that they’ve not jumped into big studio fare in general,” the two men, who are getting ready for their next film, Paper Towns, explained. “They’ve chosen directors and movies based on the movie, not the size of the movie.”

Robert Pattinson is currently in pre-production on Lost City of Z which will costar Sons of Anarchy alum Charlie Hunnam.
