Next ‘Bachelor’ Revealed On ‘After The Final Rose’: Who Will Hand Out Roses In 2016?

Ben Higgins, Ben Zorn, Jared Haibon, Nick Viall — who is the Bachelor 2016? Fans are hoping the big reveal takes place on the Bachelorette After the Final Rose special on Monday night, but host Chris Harrison is keeping everyone on the edge of their seats with his constant “no decision yet” statements.

When Ben Higgins was sent home after the overnight dates, E! News immediately tweeted confirmation, using the headline “Ben Higgins Has Been Chosen As The Next ‘Bachelor'” — that proclamation seemed to come as a big surprise to ABC and to Ben as well. Last week, the handsome software salesman told People that although he would “consider” the role, he’d not yet signed a contract with the network.

Host Chris Harrison has hinted that three guys from Kaitlyn’s season are in the running — Ben Zorn, Ben Higgins and Jared Haibon — but continues to say that the decision has not been made. According to Reality Steve, filming starts in September, so it’s likely they have their guy and are waiting to introduce him with as much fanfare as possible — like the Bachelorette ATFR special, perhaps?

Jared Haibon is a long-shot for the gig, especially because he just finished filming Bachelor in Paradise and seems to be enjoying his time off camera back home. However, to make an even more confusing mess out of the whole “Who’s the next Bachelor” guessing game, Chris Harrison tells Reality TV World that having “two Bens” has not been ruled out.

Yes, he’s talking about having Ben Higgins and Ben Zorn compete for the job just like Kaitlyn and Britt did on the Bachelorette premiere. Both are great contestants who were drama-free and seemed to be looking for love on Kaitlyn’s season, but making 25 ladies pick between two great guys? That sounds like a disaster in the making.

Who’s not going to hand out roses in 2016? Once a frontrunner for the role, Josh Murray is no longer being considered. Harrison recently told E! that despite the rumors, Andi Dorfman’s ex is not part of the Bachelor discussions.

And Nick Viall? If he doesn’t get the final rose from Kaitlyn (spoilers), he will not be hooking up with 25 ladies next season. Chris Harrison thinks he would make a “good” Bachelor, but they have candidate for the 20th season who are better suited for the role.

Watch the season finale of theBachelorette on Monday night and perhaps the much-anticipated Bachelor 2016 reveal will be made on the live After the Final Rose special. If not, it won’t be long before fans find out who will be taking the franchise’s next journey to find love.
