Bethesda promised Skyrim fans yesterday that information about the first Skyrim DLC was on the way, and as promised, Bethesda has delivered. Well, sort of.
Over on the Bethesda Blog, the company revealed that Skyrim‘s first DLC, called ‘Dawnguard‘, will be arriving on the Xbox 360 first this summer. Unfortunately that’s all Bethesda had to say, but the developer promised a full reveal at E3 next month.
Bethesda may not have much to say about Skyrim‘s first DLC, but that doesn’t mean we don’t know anything about it. Over the past several months, Bethesda said that its DLC plans for Skyrim were more “extensive” than usual–DLC will be more like an expansion pack.
“We’re not going to be doing a lot of [DLC],” Howard told Wired in an interview last year. “Our high-level thinking is that there’ll be not as many [pieces of DLC], but they’ll be bigger and more substantial. The goal overall is not necessarily to put out more content, but to make the game better.”
In the meantime, Xbox 360 gamers with a Kinect can now take advantage of the newly patched-in Kinect functionality, which went live this week. For more information on that, you can check out this post.
Are you looking forward to Skyrim‘s first DLC? Will you be getting it on the Xbox 360, or will you wait until it comes out on PC or PlayStation 3?
