The Bachelorette: You Find ‘Lust’ Not Love On The Show, Says Bachelorette — Reunion Sneak Peek [Video]
A former leading lady on The Bachelorette speaks the truth, as she sees it, about the relationships found on the well-known reality shows The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.
In the soon-to-be aired Bachelor Reunion, Ali Fedotowsky, a Bachelorette who appeared to the masses to have found love during her time on the hit reality show, claims that “love” is not at all the word to use to describe the sort of relationships established. People recounts Ali’s take.
“I don’t believe you actually completely fall in love on the show, that’s just my theory. I think you fall in lust…. I think that once you choose your final one, then your heart really can fall in love.”
As the publication notes, Ali set out to vie for the heart of Jake Pavelka before she became the Bachelorette in the sixth season of the show. During her run as the object of a number of men’s affection, Ali was engaged to the victor out of the group, Roberto Martinez. The couple, however, split after 18 months together in 2011.
The former Bachelorette does admit feelings can be stirred up that may resemble the makings of a loving relationship, stating that romantic feelings “can definitely be with two people.”

As current Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe gets set to make her difficult decision between the two men she has become smitten with over the course of the show’s run, host Chris Harrison is skeptical that the beauty will choose anyone. As Entertainment Tonight notes, Harrison spoke openly about his thoughts as to Kaitlyn’s final choice.
“If ever there was a possibility of [a Bachelorette] just walking away with nobody, it’s this season She’s having such a tough time, and she’s dealing with two guys who are kind of making more drama than there needs to be.”
It is right to say that there has been a high level of drama over the course of this season, after Bristowe was shamed publicly online for admitting to having sex with Nick once the cameras were off. The leading lady this season even stated that she has received death threats over the incident. Wonderwall recounts the current Bachelorette’s words about the situation she has taken so much heat for.
“I knew there was going to be magazines with crazy headlines. I prepared myself. I definitely have tough skin, but when people are calling you names like slut, it hurts. It’s been really hard.”
The final rose is to be given out and the two men left standing are Nick Viall and Shawn Booth. Yet after so much drama and controversy, will Kaitlyn choose anyone or choose to walk away?
