It’s probably every royal watcher’s dream to be the nearby neighbor of the it couple of the royal family- Kate Middleton and Prince William, of course. Well, the opportunity has recently presented itself by way of a lovely, yet expansive Tudor castle that has come on the market and is located quite near the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge’s Anmer Hall residence. It can be all yours if you are up for forking over the hefty asking price of £3.95 million.

The Daily Mail notes that this castle, which seems as though it’s been plucked straight out of a fairytale, is “a stunning Grade I Tudor mansion in Norfolk [named] Wolterton Manor House, in East Barsham.” In addition, the publication relays that “the stately brick home includes a Great Hall and seven bedrooms over four and a half acres.”

The sizable property and dwelling, which is so near to Kate and Will, is said to be similar in style and decor to that of King Henry VIII’s palace at Hampton Court, and it’s rumored that Wolterton Manor House played host to King Henry on occasion

The publication outlines the history of the property, which has been a getaway to Will and Kate’s renowned ancestor, in detail.

“First built for Sir Henry Fermor, it’s been privately owned for centuries – mostly by aristocratic families – before being purchased by pop artist and businessman, Roy Griffiths, last year.Griffiths had initially planned to turn the property into a boutique hotel, though objecting neighbours ultimately stalled his plans.”
