Amy Duggar Finds Way To Score More Wedding Gifts, Jill Duggar’s First Mission Trip Photo Revealed

Amy Duggar’s wedding won’t be televised on TLC, so the network definitely isn’t going to help with the cost of her ceremony. However, Amy has found a way to benefit from her status as a 19 Kids and Counting star — she recently let her social media fans know how they can send her wedding gifts.

The weddings of Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar were both featured on 19 Kids and Counting, so TLC probably would have filmed Amy’s ceremony, too. However, now that the show has been cancelled, it looks like the Duggar cousin and her fiance, Dillon King, will have to hire their own wedding videographer. According to Starcasm, Dillon first broke the news about TLC’s decision not to film their wedding.

“TLC [called] us yesterday stating they have decided that they will NOT be filming our wedding and they are ‘glad they got to work with us,'” Dillon wrote in an Instagram post. “So, Amy and myself apologize that we will not be able to share our special day with you all on the TLC network.”

He also told disappointed fans to contact TLC to share their opinions about the decision, but his request seemingly didn’t get the positive reaction he expected — he later deleted his first post and got a bit defensive.

“I never said I was entitled to anything,” King wrote. “I know what marriage is about, and I wasn’t crying for attention. Believe me, I’m not upset.”

Fans of Amy Duggar might not get to watch her wedding ceremony on TV, but they will be able to send her wedding gifts. Amy recently shared the Instagram post below letting fans know where they can send “cards and etc.”

Amy Duggar Gifts

Some commenters on the Duggar Family News: Life Is Not all Pickles and Hairspray Facebook page think that Amy Duggar is using her celebrity status to score free wedding gifts.

“Good grief! Grifters!,” Carla Lupkey Gain wrote.

“Translation: hey, you need to send US stuff like you send to my cousins,” Andrea Hagen commented. “Hate to break it to you Famy, but you’re a hanger-on.”

Many of Amy Duggar’s Instagram followers have already informed her that they’ll be sending gifts to the address she provided, but the former 19 Kids and Counting star insists that she’s not trying to get cash or free stuff.

“For us it’s not really about the gifts or money, but we would like the chance to personally thank everyone!” Amy wrote on Instagram. “I just think it would be a cool idea to connect with the followers!”

Jill Duggar is currently avoiding her family’s drama by doing mission work in Central America, so if Amy Duggar is in desperate need of small appliances, perhaps she can borrow all of her cousin’s wedding presents that are sitting unused in the Dillard mini-mansion.

Speaking of Jill, she was also criticized recently for using her 19 Kids and Counting fame to fund her mission trip. She and her husband, Derick Dillard, are asking for donations on their family webpage, but many Duggar critics think that the couple’s mission work is worth supporting. As the Inquisitr previously reported, there’s speculation that they care more about waging war against the Catholic Church than they do about helping the homeless and the hungry.

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard haven’t shared any photo updates with their generous donors, but the picture below was recently posted on Instagram.
