‘I Am Cait’ 5 Things We Hope To See In Caitlyn Jenner’s New Series

Caitlyn Jenner’s upcoming reality series, I Am Cait, is getting ready for its premiere later this month.

The former Olympian made headlines after announcing her change in name a few months back, and her newest series promises to be a behind-the-scenes look into her high-profile life. What other aspects of the new series can fans hope to see when I Am Cait airs?

According to MTV, the new series will mainly focus on how Jenner’s transition from a man to a woman has affected those around her. That being said, it will interesting to see just how much the Kardashian family will be shown in the new series, given their closeness to Jenner. Based on the reviews of the first episode, including one by Variety, it is known that Kim and Kanye West pay a visit to Jenner, so at the very least a few of the Kardashians will be included in the series.

Another part of the show that will be interesting to see if just how far the series will backtrack. Will the show include footage prior to Jenner’s decision to go public and before the interview with Diane Sawyer? Also, will the Vanity Fair photo shoot be included? With her transition being the focus of the I Am Cait, it would definitely be interesting to see her behind-the-scenes decision making.

Perhaps most importantly, it will be good to see just how much the show will dive into the transgender community. Jenner has certainly become a face of the community and a role model as well. That being said, the show has the opportunity to expand beyond a mere reality series and really educate its fans on what it is like being a transgender person in modern times.

Meanwhile, it would be good to see how Kourtney and Scott Disick told their son Mason about Jenner’s transformation. In the About Bruce special on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the couple fretted over how Mason would take the news that Grandpa Bruce was now Caitlyn. If the new series does show this footage, then it would be another great educational opportunity and also one to highlight the struggles of being transgender and how it affects family members.

Lastly, it will be interesting to see how Jenner begins to move forward with her life now that she has gone public with everything. With that in mind, hopefully the show will feature her reaction to the world’s response after she made her announcement. With the mix of reactions, ranging from full support to bigotry, how Jenner deals with it all will certainly be a focus on the series.

I Am Cait premieres Sunday, July 26 on E!.
