Girl Launches Photoshop Challenge To Imgur Users, Gets Amazing Results

Twenty-three days ago, an Imgur user by the name of atova launched a challenge to fellow users of the popular image website. She asked fellow Imgur users to edit a photo of herself and a girlfriend by adding a more romantic and interesting background.

She started her post by saying, “Hello! This is a picture of a girlfriend and myself. I was wondering if anyone could photoshop the background so that we are looking at something such as the beach instead of yellow grass.”

Atova added that there are no sad stories to accompany the picture, she just hoped someone out there had the free time to help them out, just for fun.

Since then, she has been astounded by the results of her challenge as other Imgur users posted imaginative and often really funny edited images. The following is just a small selection from the amazing posts by fellow Imgur users including everything from historic scenes to popular movies.

It seems the pair of friends were present Bikini Atoll nuclear testings back in the 1950s.

Keeping with historic times, the two ladies even met Adolf Hitler in Nazi Germany.

While Jurassic World is now in the movie theaters, it turns out these two ladies were present when it was still Jurassic Park.

It seems they were also at the scene of the tragic Hindenburg disaster back on Thursday, May 6, 1937.

The couple were even present on the Moon when that now famous “Earthrise” photo was taken.

They were also present in the filming of Star Wars, Titanic, and several other well known movies, as well as several other historic scenes. Some Imgur users even went to the trouble of producing impressive animated GIFs for the challenge.

After the almost overwhelming outpouring of creativity, Atova thanked everyone for making her year and said that she is now going to take the advice of some of the Imgur users and print out every one of the edited images to place in a photo album for posterity.

The Imgur website is a great place to see the more viral Internet images, sorted by popularity and is also, it seems, full of talented Imgur users with a handy knack for using Adobe Photoshop.
