Scarlett Johansson: I’m Constantly Surprised By How Rude People Can Be

Scarlett Johnasson has been in the public spotlight for nearly two decades but she’s still gets annoyed when people take her picture without asking.

Johannson said that it’s hard for her to enjoy any privacy because there is always someone pushing a camera in her face. Johannson said:

“I’m constantly surprised by how rude people are. You’ll be having an intimate dinner with a friend and there’s somebody on the table behind with a cameraphone pointing at your face. I think, ‘I would never take a photo of someone without asking.’ I’m not traumatized by it but I find it can bring out the worst in humanity sometimes.”

Johannson, who dons a skintight leather outfit in the new movie “The Avengers,” also said that she aspired to be a character actor but was somehow pigeonholed into sexy “bombshell” roles.

Johannson said:

“I wanted to be a character actor. Those are the actors I most admire. I think women that are curvy can be pigeonholed in that bombshell thing. It’s not like I actively look for sexy roles. It’s not a requirement that my character be pretty and delicate. I never think about my character being sexy unless that’s written in.”

Johannson had nude photos of herself leaked onto the internet last year after someone hacked into her phone, so it’s no surprise that she’s a little touch on the privacy issue. Do you think Johannson has been pigeonholed as a “sexy” actress? She was turned down last year for the role in “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” because she was deemed too sexy.

Here’s a trailer for “The Avengers,” which just had a record breaking weekend overseas.
