Eminem Scorches Caitlyn Jenner, Donald Trump, And Bill Cosby — How Does He Get Away With It?

Eminem (real name Marshall Mathers) isn’t known for his couth or political correctness. Somehow, though, not many people object — maybe they find him refreshing, maybe they’ve given up on trying to correct his behavior — because he sure has a lot of fans and scores of hits over the past 15 years.

While the majority of his music is considered obscene for profanity and sexual content, there’s also been plenty of homophobia and racial slurs. One of the only white rappers to truly make his fortune in a mostly black industry, Eminem has seemed untouchable.

In a week where Donald Trump has been in the news for many high-profile companies dropping him for classifying Mexican immigrants as “rapists,” among other things, nobody blinks an eye at Eminem’s scorching lyrics towards anyone who he feels deserves his wrath, and this has been the case for a decade or more. In his 2002 hit “Without Me,” he took a major hit at singer Moby with little retribution.

“Moby, you can get stomped by Obie. You 36-year-old bald-headed f**, bl** me. You don’t know me, you’re too old, let go, it’s over – nobody listens to techno!”

In fact, all his popularity seems to do is soar after his profane lyrics and personal insults. Fast forward 13 years, and it’s a bit more of a politically correct society – gay people certainly have more respect and rights, and defamation of them is not well tolerated by most people. Would it be tolerated if Eminem sang that song today? The answer is unknown, but what is known is that he took direct and personal shots at Caitlyn Jenner’s decision to present as female after decades of being known as Bruce. In a freestyle rap, which lasted approximately six minutes, he also took swipes at Donald Trump and Bill Cosby, which may not be as divisive in the current political climate.

“I’m f***** worse than Donald Trump / On Lexapro in Mexico across from a Texaco in a McDonald’s drunk. I invented prick, and that’s a true statement, I see the b**** in you, Caitlyn / Keep the pistol tucked like Bruce Jenner’s d***. No disrespect though, not at all, no pun intended, that took a lot of balls. Sodomy, how many chocolatey Jell-o pops can he possibly lace, walking atrocity / No wonder you scoff at me, it’s obvious I’m as off-putting as Bill Cosby is.”

Although he may be off-putting, he doesn’t seem to get much backlash. This is odd in today’s culture — why do you think that is? Are you an Eminem fan and why? Sound off in the comments below.
