Naomi Campbell Joins ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ To Critique Lady Gaga’s Outlandish Outfits

Naomi Campbell and Lady Gaga are going to face off over fashion after they check into American Horror Story: Hotel.

Campbell is the latest famous face to join the impressive cast of the FX anthology series. The model known for flinging mobile phones will be playing a fashion editor whose clothing critiques could end up costing her big time. According to TV Line, Naomi Campbell’s character “pays the ultimate price” after going all Joan Rivers on Lady Gaga’s lover of outlandish outfits. Perhaps the fashion editor isn’t a fan of Gaga’s garish gloves with shiny silver claws attached.

Naomi Campbell will star in a multi-episode arc, and she’ll also have scenes with Angela Bassett. According to Zap2it, Angela is going to stir up trouble for Lady Gaga in the ballroom, so perhaps she and Naomi will become allies after they realize that they share a common enemy. It’s also been revealed that Gaga’s character will be involved in a love triangle with two hotties at the hotel played by Matt Bomer and Finn Wittrock, so maybe Gaga will ask one of her men to do her dirty work for her when she inevitably decides to murder Campbell’s character.

At Comic-Con, American Horror Story: Hotel co-creator Ryan Murphy revealed that part of Lady’s Gaga’s role “involves fashion,” so perhaps she’s play a designer whose looks get trashed by Naomi Campbell’s character. She could also be playing a celebrity who influences style, like an actress or a socialite. Variety reports that she won’t be pulling a Jessica Lange by belting out any tunes, so it seems unlikely that her character is a singer.

Naomi Campbell might have a reputation for being a bad girl, but she probably isn’t playing the most formidable female character on American Horror Story: Hotel. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Lily Rabe is returning to the series to play a serial killer on the run. Murphy confirmed that Gaga’s character will be a force of evil, as will Bassett’s character. Kathy Bates is playing Iris, the hotel’s evil owner, and Sarah Paulson revealed that she’ll be playing a bad girl who goes by the sinister-sounding moniker “Hypodermic Sally.” Chloe Sevigny and Scream Queens star Emma Roberts will also be checking into the hotel, but there’s no word on whether their characters will be good or bad.

Male members of the Hotel cast who weren’t mentioned above include Evan Peters, Wes Bentley, Cheyenne Jackson, Denis O’Hare, Max Greenfield, and Denis O’Hare. Murphy revealed that Matt Bomer and Evan Peters will both be playing bad guys.

During an interview with E! News, Ryan Murphy said that American Horror Story: Hotel will be more male-centric than previous seasons of AHS. The guys with the biggest parts are Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Evan Peters, and Finn Wittrock. Murphy also revealed that a few familiar faces from past seasons of AHS will be checking in, and he said that his hotel of horror is based on a few different real locations.

“It’s based in the hotel in horror movies and horror troves. We’ve researched several real-live hotels in downtown LA where absolutely horrifying things happened… when you check into a hotel, there are certain things beyond your control. Other people have the keys to your room; they can come in there. You’re not exactly safe, it’s a very unsettling idea.”

Naomi Campbell better start praying that her room key doesn’t fall into Lady Gaga’s shiny claws.
