‘Twilight’ Producers Gush Over Kristen Stewart And Robert Pattinson, Praise Duo For Their Success

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have come a long way since their portrayal of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan in the Twilight franchise. Now, producers from the film are praising Pattinson and Stewart for their career success following their involvement in the highly popular film saga.

In a new interview with the Hollywood Reporter, producers Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen reflect on their own careers following their involvement with the Twilight franchise, Gossip Cop reports.

When asked if they keep in touch with the Twilight cast, namely Pattinson and Stewart, Godfrey admits that they try and keep in close contact despite everyone’s hectic schedules.

“We keep in touch with all of them in a way you keep in touch with actors who have busy lives and are half your age. Every half-year we catch up and try to find something else to work on together. They’ve each been really smart about the way they’ve followed up their Twilight careers in that they’ve not jumped into big studio fare in general. They’ve both chosen directors and movies based on the movie, not the size of the movie.”

Godfrey then gushes over Kristen and Rob, telling reporters that he’s proud of the success they’ve had following the end of the Twilight films three years ago.

“Kristen being the first American actress to win a Cesar was pretty f***ing cool. And Rob’s just worked with a string of people you’d want to be on your filmography when you’re done.”

The Twilight producer’s praise for Pattinson and Stewart comes just days after Kristen made headlines for her own reflection of her career since her days in the vampire drama.

Stewart sat down with Marie Claire to dish on how her life has changed since reaching superstardom in Twilight.

“Between ages 15 and 20, it was really intense. I was constantly anxious…I was kind of a control freak. If I didn’t know how something was going to turn out, I would make myself ill, or just be locked up or inhibited in a way that was really debilitating… I used to be embarrassed about how I cry all the time. Now I think it’s a gift to feel things.”

Stewart goes on to reveal how her new view on life has helped her grow as a person, noting that she’s experienced some rough patches along the way.

“At one point, you just let go and give yourself to your life…I have finally managed that and I get so much more out of life. I’ve lived hard for such a young person, and I’ve done that to myself—but I’ve come out of the other end hardened but strong. I have an ability to persevere that I didn’t have before. It’s like when you fall on your face so hard. And the next time you’re like, ‘Yeah, so? I’ve fallen on my face before.'”
