Unfortunately, it seems we find ourselves daily asking the question “what were they thinking?” A quick YouTube search, and you can spend the rest of the day watching others perform questionable actions. Many times it seems obvious to the viewer that it is just not going to work out the way the perpetrator intends. That is the case for a couple of guys in the news, today.

The first nominee for the “What Were They Thinking Award?” comes from a bus station in Winter Haven, Fla.

According to My Fox Atlanta, the gentleman in the video got off of the bus. He decides not long after stepping off he would rather go to another stop. The driver informs him that he would need to pay another $2 for the trip. The man becomes visibly angry. After the driver shuts the door, the man takes his frustration out on the bus.

At this point, the man in question most likely didn’t know that public transportation companies have safety plans in place. Buses are designed in a way to try too keep those inside safe from people who might try to harm them on the outside especially if the only weapon of choice is one’s head. As you can see, the man headbutts the door either trying to get in or out of frustration. It didn’t work out too well for him. He ends up in a sprawling mess on the ground. Police are now searching for him.

Our final nominee for the ‘What Were They Thinking Award?’ hails from Bruinisse, the Netherlands. A 56-year-old unnamed driver tried to channel his inner Evel Knievel.

We have all seen the movies with car chases. At some point most of the time, a draw bridge will start raising and the cars have to decide should I make the jump. What the gentleman in the video failed to realize is gravity in movies acts different than gravity in real life. He was rescued, and despite a few broken bones, he will be okay according to a Dutch newsite.
