Did Katy Perry Confirm That ‘Bad Blood’ Is About Her? Inside Her Feud With Taylor Swift

The “Bad Blood” between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift is heating up. The “Dark Horse” singer took to Twitter to call Taylor’s tweets remarks “ironic” in the middle of her own feud with rapper Nicki Minaj.

Katy Perry added her own input on Swift’s Twitter feud with Nicki Minaj that took place on Tuesday, July 21. Perry wrote a simple message that may have confirmed that “Bad Blood” is really about her.

Katy took to the popular social networking site to tweet: “Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of another woman…”

Katy is talking about Taylor’s infamous song and music video “Bad Blood” being about the pop singer. Taylor’s now capitalizing off their alleged feud since it’s doing well on both the Billboard Hot 100 and on VEVO. It’s been rumored that Perry and Swift’s alleged feud started around 2012 when Perry began dating her on-again, off-again boyfriend, John Mayer. As some fans may know, Taylor Swift dated the bad boy singer-songwriter briefly back in 2010. She also wrote the diss track “Dear John” about him.

In September 2014, Taylor spoke to Rolling Stone about her diss track “Bad Blood” and who inspired it. The singer told the magazine that the song was inspired by a “female artist” who worked in the pop industry. Taylor refused to say which singer she was talking about. However, she alluded to the fact that Katy “sabotaged” her world tour.

“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'” “She did something so horrible. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational – you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it.”

It didn’t take fans long to figure out that it was allegedly Perry who “sabotaged” Swift’s Red World Tour. In his interview with The Examiner, Perry’s backup dancer Locky Brownlie explained how he went from Swift’s tour to join Perry’s Prismatic World Tour.

Katy was asked about the feud during her promotion for the 2015 Super Bowl halftime show. In her interview with Billboard, Katy gave a sassy one-liner about her alleged beef with Taylor.

“If somebody is trying to defame my character, you’re going to hear about it.”

Then on Sunday, May 17, Swift premiered her infamous “Bad Blood” music video at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards. The star-studded video included appearances by Selena Gomez, Kendrick Lamar, Lena Dunham, Zendaya, Ellie Goulding, and several of her model friends. Just eight days prior to the heavily promoted video, Perry tweeted this cryptic message, which some fans believe is about Swift.

Now, it looks like the “Bad Blood” isn’t over just yet. It’ll be interesting to see if it will continue at the 2015 MTV VMAs. What are your thoughts on Katy Perry and Taylor Swift’s alleged feud? Do you think the rumors are true? Share your thoughts below in the comments section.
