New ‘Dragon Age: Inquisition’ Qunari DLC Out Now, Only Available On Current-Gen Platforms

Giving players access to additional equipment in their quest to save Thedas, BioWare has released a new DLC pack this week for Dragon Age: Inquisition. The new content came as a surprise to fans since the developer had not officially announced the add-on prior to its official launch yesterday. In fact, the Dragon Age: Inquisition community was largely unaware that this DLC was in the works until BioWare revealed that it was available for purchase on Tuesday.

Similar to the previously released Avvar-themed pack, the newest piece of downloadable content for Dragon Age: Inquisition gives players access to several new in-game items designed after the series’ stoic Qunari race.

This week’s new DLC gives Dragon Age: Inquisition fans the ability to decorate their player-run base with props inspired by the Qunari culture. While further detailing the contents of the Spoils of the Qunari add-on, BioWare revealed on the game’s official website that DLC adds new customization items for Skyhold.

“The Spoils of the Qunari content pack adds new items to your Inquisition, inspired by the style of Par Vollen! Bring the Qun to Skyhold with several options that represent your dedication to discipline, from a massive warrior throne to various sculptures honoring the Qunari people.”

In addition to decorating Skyhold, players can also dress themselves in more decidedly Qunari fashions since the DLC brings new armor sets to Dragon Age: Inquisition. Furthermore, anyone that picks up the new download will also receive a new armored mount to help traverse the different zones of Dragon Age: Inquisition.

“The Spoils of the Qunari content pack also includes two sets of unique armor as loot, including an Arishok armor set, as well as schematics to craft new pieces for your party members. Ride across Thedas atop an armored war mount and vanquish your enemies in the name of the Qun!”

In a bit of unfortunate news for those playing Dragon Age: Inquisition on last-gen consoles, the Spoils of the Qunari DLC will only be made available on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. As BioWare had already confirmed, all future Dragon Age: Inquisition content will only be released on current-gen platforms from this point on, starting with this week’s newest DLC release. Dragon Age: Inquisition executive producer Mark Darrah recently gave his opinion on dropping last-gen support as he spoke about future content for the game.

While the Qunari pack for Dragon Age: Inquisition only adds a few additional new items, BioWare has confirmed that they are currently working on more narrative content for the game. However, the studio isn’t ready to discuss any details about upcoming story DLC

Do you ever purchase equipment packs, or do you plan on holding out for content that continues the campaign storyline of Dragon Age: Inquisition?
