WWE News: Cesaro Responds To Vince McMahon’s ‘Lack Of Charisma’ Comment, Says He Wants To Become WWE World Heavyweight Champion

There’s no disputing that — especially after his last couple of performances on RAW— Cesaro delivers every time he steps into the ring. He has all of the physical tools, and he is one of WWE’s best in-ring performers. But the one thing that he’s been lacking, at least according to WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, is charisma and the ability to connect with the WWE fans.

Vince McMahon appeared on the very first live Steve Austin Show on the WWE Network this past December, and he was asked about a bunch of different guys on the current WWE roster, including Cesaro. McMahon said Cesaro had good physical tools, but, he wasn’t able to connect with the WWE fans, but he was hoping that he eventually would be able to.

Well, Cesaro — after eight months — has finally responded, as he was the guest on the WWE website’s weekly interview with Michael Cole, where Cole asked Cesaro what his thoughts were on what Vince McMahon said about him and how he responded to it the next time he saw the WWE Chairman.

“Well, to be honest, I was driving to the next town [when I heard Mr. McMahon’s comments] and I was white-knuckling the steering wheel. But then, I thought about it, I slept on it, and the next morning I came to RAW, and went to Mr. McMahon’s office and said, ‘Vince, challenge accepted.’ And then two months and 22 days later, me and Tyson [Kidd] won the Tag-Team Championships. To me, that’s the best way to go about things.”

Right now, Cesaro is getting an opportunity to showcase his skills in the WWE main-event scene, as he has been taking on all of WWE’s top starts. Tomorrow night will be no exception because he’s taking on the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins in the SmackDown main-event. Of course, the event was taped on Tuesday, and Rollins ended up defeating Cesaro with the Pedigree.

Cesaro’s interview on the WWE website took place before his match with Rollins was taped, and he was asked about his match with Rollins and his desire to be in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture.

“[The match with Seth Rollins] is very important. Everybody wants to be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and it’s so important for me because I want to prove that I’m the best, and if you’re not here to prove that then you’re here for the wrong reasons. I’m here for the right reasons, I want to be WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and I want to prove to everybody that what I say is true, and I’ll show Seth Rollins on SmackDown, that every single time I step into the ring, I deliver.”
