Ben Affleck Flies Rescued Puppy To Children After ‘Batman’ Splits From Jennifer Garner: Why They Broke Up [Video]

Ben Affleck made headlines when he and Jennifer Garner split. And now, Ben is getting attention for a much more heartwarming reason, as Affleck was seen with his arms full of cuddly, cute Golden Retriever puppy, reported MSN.

Although Ben made it clear that the puppy is already his new BFF, Affleck also is known to be concerned about the couple’s children. Samuel is only 3, while Seraphina is 6, and the oldest, Violet, is 9-years-old.

Jennifer and Ben revealed that they were splitting last month. However, Affleck and Garner emphasized that they want to maintain positive relationships so that the children aren’t hurt by the break-up.

Garner is currently renting a home in Atlanta, where she is filming Miracles From Heaven, and Ben is even living on the same property. Affleck and Jen originally revealed their impending divorce during a family vacation in the Caribbean.

“They both put on their happy faces and don’t show any signs of anger or frustration,” revealed an insider. “They definitely play happy family in front of the kids. They want to fill their children’s lives with as much love as possible and make sure they know they have two parents who love them to pieces.”

But some have questioned whether Ben secretly hopes that he and Jennifer can mend their broken relationship. Affleck was seen still wearing his wedding ring in Atlanta, reported the Us Weekly.

Now 42 and starring in Batman v Superman, Ben flew with the puppy to Atlanta. Affleck and Jennifer, with their two little girls, chose the dog prior to their breakup at a May dog adoption rescue event in California.

However, Ben was in a noticeably bad mood at the animal shelter, said an observer. Affleck frowned when Jennifer told the children to have fun with the puppies, then was unkind to a volunteer.

“Ben was really short with her, like, ‘Yeah, whatever,’ ” said the observer.

However, despite Affleck’s angry mood, he and Jennifer did adopt the puppy for their family.

All of the children have spent the summer primarily with Garner, from visiting Party City to the essential visit to a pet market.

As the Inquisitr reported, Ben currently is residing in Jennifer’s guest house. Affleck has admitted to cheating prior to his split from Garner.

To the outside world, Jennifer and Ben are attempting to make their divorce sound calm. But those close to Garner, 43, and Affleck, 42, have revealed that throughout the decade in which they were married, cheating and partying as well as Ben’s infamous gambling habits wreaked havoc.

“[Affleck] admitted to cheating,” said an insider.

Moreover, Ben’s behavior with other women was caused for concern from Garner, reported Us Weekly.

Affleck and Jennifer had several near-breakups before the public announcement, said a source.

“She tried to leave him a few times, but he would beg her to stay,” revealed an insider.

But it was the combination of partying and gambling with his confession about cheating on her that finally convinced Garner to call it quits, according to sources, who revealed that it’s been heart-breaking for Garner.

“She always fought against the urge to throw her hands up in the air and walk away,” added one insider. “They’ve been on the brink of splitting up many times before, but it’s Jennifer’s worst nightmare for their children. Her biggest desire has always been to keep the family together.”
