Nicole Houde, Former Miss New Hampshire USA, Arrested For Assault

Nicole Houde, who was crowned Miss New Hampshire USA in 2010, was recently arrested after allegedly assaulting her boyfriend.

Police say that Houde, 26, punched, kicked, scratched and bit Scott Nickerson, her 33-year-old boyfriend, during an argument.

The Daily Mail reports that the argument started when Nickerson accused Houde of having an affair. Nickerson allegedly grabbed her cellphone and refused to give it back. The enraged former beauty queen then attacked Nickerson in order to get her phone back. Houde was arrested on a charge of simple assault.

Since wearing the Miss New Hampshire USA crown in 2010, Houde has found work as a personal trainer, beauty pageant consultant, and makeup artist. Houde has turned her beauty pageant experience into a business where she prepares girls for proms, weddings, or beauty contests.

Houde writes on her site:

“I learned so much from my experience and I enjoyed doing everything that I did so why not expand that into my career and do what I love?! I look forward to helping others better themselves and reach for their goals because a lot of times life gets in the way, we get distracted and just need a little extra boost and help to get things on the right track.”

Houde isn’t the only former Miss USA contestant to run into trouble. Rima Fakih recently plead guilty to DUI charges. Fakih, 26, was also from the 2010 class of Miss USA contestants. Fakih represented Michigan in the 2010 pageant and was the first Arab American to win Miss USA.
