Caroline Manzo Answers Criticism Of Her Wearing White To Daughter Lauren Manzo’s Wedding
Caroline Manzo has answered those who criticized and questioned her for wearing white to her daughter Lauren Manzo’s wedding on Saturday. A day after the wedding, the former Real Housewives of New Jersey star shared that Lauren actually asked that she wear white to the wedding.
Caroline accompanied her message with a wedding photo of her and Lauren lovingly and happily looking at each other. Caroline made fun of all the controversy that her choice of wedding attire caused by telling people that they “may resume living now.”
“My beautiful girl and I. To answer the burning question@laurenmanzo asked me to wear white. You may resume living now.”
Like Lauren, Caroline wore a white, strapless dress. While Lauren opted for a princess ball gown, Caroline chose a form-fitting slinky dress that flared out at the end. Caroline shared a photo of her sons, Chris and Albie Manzo, walking her down the aisle.
After her wedding to Vito Scalia, Lauren shared her excitement that Vito is finally her husband.
“Last night was unreal and absolutely perfect. I had my fairytale wedding, fairytale dress but most importantly the best Prince Charming by my side to enjoy it with…. I love you HUSBAND!!! #laurenandvito#happywifedelilife.”
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, many of Caroline Manzo’s former Real Housewives of New Jersey co-stars attended Lauren Manzo’s wedding. Melissa Gorga, Kathy Wakile, and Rosie Perri shared photos of themselves at the event, as did co-star and family member Jacqueline Laurita. Sister Dina Manzo, who returned to The Real Housewives of New Jersey for Season 6 and only reconciled with Caroline and Jacqueline last winter, has so far declined to share a snap of herself at the wedding but did share a photo taken of Lauren and Vito at the altar during the ceremony.
This means that the New Jersey housewives may be shown on Season 2 of Caroline’s spin-off, Manzo’d With Children, since the wedding was filmed for the show. On Monday, Bravo released the trailer for the second season, which premieres on Sunday, August 16. In the trailer, Caroline talks about how her husband is in denial that Lauren will actually get married and leave the nest. Jacqueline Laurita, Kathy Wakile, and Rosie Perri can all be seen in the trailer.
On the day of the wedding, Caroline Manzo spoke to Us Weekly about her happiness for her daughter.
“I’m excited to see my daughter just start her life. I want her to just embrace this moment and I want to see her really, really shine. And that’s, for me, that’s worth more than anything on the planet, to see your kids truly, truly happy…Vito is a great guy and the Scalias are wonderful people.”
