Nicole Kidman: Father’s Death Causes A Lot Of Emotion For Kidman As She Admits She’s ‘Still Recovering’

Nicole Kidman is still recovering from her father’s death, and admits that she still gets emotional when she thinks about him. According to the Mail Online, the actress opened up about the loss in the new issue of Vogue Magazine. Last September, Kidman’s father, Antony Kidman, passed away suddenly. He was just 75-years-old.

His tragic death is something that Nicole is still trying to heal from.

“You’ve caught me at a time when I’m still recovering and in grief. There are times you go, ‘Gosh, I wish I could just go and hide in a hole and never come out.’ And then you go, ‘That was yesterday.’ I have a four-year-old and a six-year-old, and just hearing their laugh… it’s life in its most powerful form,” Kidman explained.

Nicole Kidman’s father’s death occurred while he was visiting his other daughter (Nicole’s sister) in Singapore. According to HNGN, Mr. Kidman died after a fall. Shortly after, the Oscar winner went on The Ellen Show, where she opened up about the tragedy and said that she was having a “really tough time.” She also credited her husband, country star Keith Urban, with helping her get through and being the support system that she really needed.

“I’ve realized we don’t talk about it enough in terms of our society. Because at some point in our lives… everybody loses their parents and it’s awful. [Keith] has been so good to me for nine years, but for the last month, which has been a really tough time for me… he’s been amazing,” Kidman told Ellen DeGeneres at the time.

Nicole Kidman was really close to her father. His death was absolutely devastating to her, and it’s clear to see that she is still grieving.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Nicole has found a great love with Keith Urban. She also told Vogue that she wishes that the two had more children together.

“I wish I could have met him much earlier and had way more children with him. But I didn’t. I mean, if I could have had two more children with him, that would have been just glorious. But as Keith says, ‘The wanting mind, Nicole. Shut it down.'”

Kidman and Urban have two daughters together, Faith Margaret and Sunday Rose. She also has two older children, daughter Isabella and son Connor, whom she adopted with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
