Liam Payne engagement reports got tweeted around the world, with fans implying that Liam was marrying Sophia Smith. But those “#SophiamIsEngaged” hashtags about the One Direction singer are fake, reported Gossip Cop.
Liam’s representative attempted to squash those reports about Payne’s engagement. But they continue to spread, thanks to devoted One Direction followers.

“They are not engaged,” said the singer’s spokesperson.
Why the rumors about Liam? Payne’s engagement gossip may stem from the latest news from One Direction, ranging from Louis Tomlinson’s impending fatherhood to Zayn Malik’s departure.
But the reason for Zayn’s departure, despite multitudes of One Direction fans, is simple, reported the Sydney Morning Herald.

The writer of the group’s songs, Jamie Scott, revealed that Malik could no longer tolerate the constant travel.
“Zayn went because he’d had enough. Have you ever been on the road for four years? These guys aren’t at home… There is no way the same thing is going to run through all five guys, that they’re all going to want to be on the road so much together. Eventually he got to a point where he’d had enough,” shared Scott.
“It was, ‘OK, I don’t want to be in this band any more’. It was that simple, it was human instinct kicking in. People want it to be complicated and have secret reasons but that is what it was.”
In contrast, what the future holds for One Direction is increasingly uncertain, pointed out Perez Hilton.
Many 1D fans have wondered, given Zayn’s recent departure, if it’s no direction in terms of the boy band’s future. Simon Cowell offered his own unique perspective.
“In terms of the band, they’ve got enough hits now they can take some time off and do some other stuff they want to do. Then I hope they’ll have a little bit of time apart and want to get back together again. It’s a fun job, but it’s absolutely their decision,” he said.
As the Inquisitr reported, Simon has expanded his many ventures to include both the girl band Fifth Harmony and his own fatherhood with his son, Eric.
In addition to a deal with Syco Records, Fifth Harmony won Artist to Watch at the MTV VMAs, and their single “BO$S” has earned a solid place in the Billboard Hot 100.
