Meg Ryan Lists Bel-Air Home For $11.4 Million

Meg Ryan’s Bel-Air mansion is up for sale–for a third time. The Harry Met Sally and You’ve Got Mail actress apparently has somewhat of a love-hate relationship with the house, which she first listed in 2008.

The mansion, which was originally listed for $19.5 million, is now going for $11.4 million. The home was built in 1931, and boasts Spanish-style architecture. Ryan purchased the home in 2000 for $8.995 million, according to public records.

The listing describes the home as undergoing a “museum-quality restoration.” The beautiful two-story home features stenciled ceiling beams, arched doorways, and ironwork, features which are typical for the house’s era.

Meg Ryan’s home boasts several views, including those of the city and ocean. The outside of the house boasts a loggia, dining pavilion, and expansive lawn, and a picturesque swimming pool. French doors open out into the patio areas.

There are two family rooms, a screening room, a pub room, six bedrooms, and seven bathrooms.

There are four fireplaces, including one in the guesthouse. The house is a total of 6,877 square feet.

Ryan has reportedly been leasing the house for $40,000 per month. Some sources claim the leasee to be Diane Keaton, but the report is unconfirmed. Like other homes in the neighborhood, Ryan’s home is extremely private, and set back from the road behind thick hedges and walls.

Meg Ryan’s listing agent is David Offer of Prudential California Realty’s Brentwood office.

Zillow.com’s Mortgage calculator states that a monthly payment on Meg Ryan’s home would be $42,133 (assuming a 20% down payment, and a 30-year-fixed-rate mortgage).
