Texas Mom Captured On Viral Video Giving Birth To Son In Car Told Hubby To Keep Driving

A viral video that captured the exact moment a Texas woman was giving birth in the vehicle that her husband was driving has everyone talking. Lesia Pettijohn delivered her own 10 lb. baby as the daddy continued driving, all the while filming the birth. Now that things have calmed down a bit, the couple sat down to reveal exactly what happened during those intense moments when their son, Josiah, was born.

KTRK interviewed the new mom and her husband, Jonathan Pettijohn, and asked them the question that is on everyone’s mind. Why didn’t he pull over to the side of the road and help his wife when it was obvious the baby was not waiting to come into the world?

Many people on social media have made negative comments after seeing this viral video questioning the actions of her husband while Lesia was giving birth. Johnathan said that his wife wanted him to keep driving. She also wanted him to start filming so they could keep this precious moment of their son’s birth forever.

“For one thing we don’t have a cell phone with service so we couldn’t have called anybody if I’d pulled over. Number two, she said she wanted me to keep driving.”

The GoPro that was used was originally supposed to be filming the special event in the delivery room at the birthing center that they were headed to, not in the car. Once she realized that it was getting really close and that they may not make it to the center, the 22-year-old told him to start filming as to not miss the upcoming birth. The Inquisitr had previously reported on the woman giving birth as her hubby kept driving all calm and collected.

The Texas couple already has two little girls at home. Josiah is their third child in three years. They didn’t know the sex of the baby until he was born. Their reaction is priceless. The reaction to this woman giving birth for all the world to see is priceless as well. It has now gone viral with over six million views so far, as reported by Yahoo News. Viewers got to see some yelling, groaning, and the chance to see the miracle of birth, no matter where it happened.

How did Lesia feel at that moment when she realized that she was about to give birth to her child in the car?

“I really didn’t want to have him in the car. I was really scared. I didn’t know if he was breathing okay.”

Lesia said that they had left way too early with their other two children, so this time they had decided to wait. It looks like they may have waited too long, but it all worked out just fine and this family is now somewhat famous.
