Ramona Singer Learned About Mario’s Affair From A Friend: ‘I Was In Complete Denial’

Ramona Singer always thought that her marriage was perfect, but it turns out that she was wrong. When her ex-husband, Mario Singer, turned 60, he changed his character and his personality. He was no longer the man that Ramona married. And this was when she started to notice his personal changes.

Apparently, Ramona Singer had a feeling for a while that her husband was cheating on her. But it wasn’t Mario who decided to come clean. In fact, Singer got full support from her friends, who were suspecting the same thing.

According to a new Bravo report, Ramona Singer is now opening up about the time she learned about the affair from a friend. Apparently, Ramona had her suspicions long before she actually found out, as she had asked Mario about seeing another woman on several occasions. As she has previously revealed, Ramona felt that her husband was changing.

“I remember walking along Park Avenue with one of my good friends, before going to therapy one day, and she said to me, ‘I hate to be the one to tell you this, but I think you need to know,’ she paused and then said slowly, ‘I think Mario has been seeing another woman.’ ‘What are you talking about?’ I said, in complete denial. ‘Well, you know the other night when we were at Plaza Athénée for that party. People overheard him arguing with a woman on his cell phone when he was in the men’s room. He was screaming at her,’ ” Ramona Singer writes.

Ramona admits that she did bring the story up in therapy when they went together, but he laughed it off. Apparently, he didn’t want to tell Singer about the affair in front of the therapist. It sounded like he would prefer discussing this with Ramona behind closed doors. Singer decided to take it up herself.

“At home, later that same night, I walked into the den and I saw that Mario was talking on the phone. I remember as soon as I walked into the room he got very stiff,” Singer recalls the night she learned about the affair, adding, “I remember his face looked like he had seen a ghost. His eyes went wide. His mouth fell open. He had that same expression on his face when I was pregnant with Avery and I told him that my water broke and we had to go the hospital. He looked like a deer in headlights. ‘Just admit you were talking to a girl. Just admit it,’ I shouted. He snapped out of it and got defensive, ‘Yes, I was. Do you want to know what else I do with her besides talk?’ ”

Ramona’s book, Life on the Ramona Coaster, also goes into details about her childhood. According to the Inquisitr, Ramona Singer once threatened her father with a knife because she was scared of him and tired of him abusing her mother.
