Brooklyn Teen Hassan Razzaq Stabs Father To Death

Hassan Razzaq, a 19-year old Brooklyn resident, stabbed his 56- year-old father, Mohammed Hassan, during a heated argument on Saturday.

Neighbors reported hearing yelling coming from the Razzaq home, followed by a woman’s screams. Hassan Razzaq was then seen fleeing the crime scene wearing a shirt, pajama pants, and sandals, and clearly bloody.

Neighbors called the police to report the incident, where police began looking for Hassan Razzaq. After fleeing his home, Razzaq stopped at a nearby deli in an effort to clean up. He asked for napkins so that he could clean the blood off of his hands, according to a report by ABC 7.

Arguments were a regular occurrence in the Razzaq household, with some neighbors stating that the police were frequent visitors to the home due to disputes and physical abuse inflicted on the Razzaq children by their father, Mohammed Razzaq, was commonplace; one neighbor even went so far to say that it was an inevitability.

“The kid’s a good kid. He was getting beat every night, beat every night.” said Razzaq’s neighbor Robert, who did not want to disclose his last name in an interview with New York Daily News.

“The father was very abusive,” said Robert, “He was beating that kid all day. I feel terrible for that boy. He was pushed. He was definitely pushed.”

Hassan Razzaq was apprehended by police just a couple of blocks from his home and taken into custody. He has been charged with second-degree murder as well as criminal possession of a weapon.
