Brad Arnold Kicks Out Unruly Fan: ‘You Don’t Hit A Woman, Dude’ [Video]

3 Doors Down frontman Brad Arnold kicks out an unruly fan from a concert in a video that has since gone viral, Canada Journal is reporting.

During a July 14 concert at 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado, 3 Doors Down was in the middle of a song when an unruly fan pushed a woman in the crowd. Lead singer Brad Arnold stopped, mid-performance, to berate the fan and call for security.

“Hang on, hang on, hang on. Hey, hey homie. You don’t hit a woman. You just pushed a woman out of the way to get in a fight, you d**k! Get him the hell out of here. You don’t hit a woman, dude.”

The crowd went wild.

As Time reports, the house lights came on so security officials could find the man. Once he was escorted out, the lights went off, and Arnold and the band went back to rocking the crowd.

A fan in the crowd, identified as Melissa Nichols, captured Arnold’s heroics on video, and posted the footage to Instagram. When Arnold’s band mate, Chris Henderson, saw the footage, he contacted Melissa and then posted it on his own YouTube channel, with the caption, “Brad kicking a dude out of the show! Just another reason I’m proud to be in this band!!”

A Time reporter caught up with Henderson to talk about the footage. He said he’d never seen Brad kick out an unruly audience member before.

“When he did it, I was like, ‘Man, I’m really glad you did that, because that was gonna get really ugly really quick.’ “

As it turns out, this is not the first time Brad Arnold has done a solid for a fan. 3 Doors Down fan Calvin Hennegar noted that he’d seen Arnold pull a young fan up on stage to rock with him after another fan pushed him (the kid).

“Brad did something similar at a show in Corpus Christi, TX a few years ago when one of the band members threw the kid a guitar pick some big guy pushed the kid out of the way to get it. Brad saw it and pulled the kid up and stage to rock with them and then took him backstage. Always taking care of their fans!”

For Arnold’s band mate Chris Henderson, doing the right thing for a fan is just part of Brad’s nature.

“Your morals kicked in.”
