Jamie Lee Curtis Awesomely Attends EVO As Vega From ‘Street Fighter’ To Give Her Son A Graduation Present
Jamie Lee Curtis is one of the greatest actresses to ever step foot on the big screen, small screen, stage, and everything that will have her. She is also one of the coolest moms to ever walk the planet, and showed that she will do anything for her son. Jamie Lee Curtis went to EVO and was in disguise as the claw-wielding Vegas from the Street Fighter video game series.
Not only did she dress up as Vega, but her husband, writer and director Christopher Guest, dressed up as Dr. Bosconovitch from Tekken.

With the 2012 release of Street Fighter X Tekken, this allowed both characters to be seen together without any trouble. Either way, it’s not like anyone would be able to complain about how awesome their costumes were.
That’s even if you didn’t know who was behind the mask.
AV Club reported that Jamie Lee Curtis and family attended the Evolution Championship Series, which is one of the biggest competitive fighting game tournaments in the world. Typically referred to as EVO, the annual three-day event brings in fans and players from around the world.
Curtis tweeted out that she spent the afternoon walking the tournament floor with her family and didn’t just use the Vega mask to please her son. No, Curtis also used the mask to conceal her identity from fans and press.
The visit to the tournament was actually a high school graduation present for her son, Thomas. It’s something she first mentioned back in January and she followed through with it. For those wondering, that’s Thomas playing the part of Dee Jay in the photo.
One has to only look at this as one of the coolest things that anyone could ever do for their child, but it gets an extra sense of awesome by coming from Jamie Lee Curtis.
She risked being swarmed by press and fans hounding her for photos and autographs to fulfill a promise to her son. Jamie Lee Curtis had to leave that Vega mask on all day and stay in Street Fighter character or risk being bombarded.
No matter what, this was a cool move by an awesome actress and one that will always have people thinking. Now, when someone goes to EVO or a Comic-Con, you may wonder just who is behind the Vega mask from Street Fighter because it very well could be Jamie Lee Curtis.
