Brad Pitt Tattoo: Actors Pays Tribute To Wife And Kids With Cross Tattoo

Actor Brad Pitt may not have meant to show off his new tattoo to the rest of the world — but that is exactly what he did.

While spending time with his family in Los Angeles, the 51-year-old actor’s exposed forearms revealed a cross-shaped tattoo.

The vertical line of the cross starts right below Brad’s right wrist and ends just a few inches short of his elbow.

According to the Us Weekly, the letters that are printed on both sides of the divided vertical line are actually the initials of his wife and kids.

Perhaps Brad Pitt wanted to follow the example already set by his wife by getting a tattoo that honors each of his children.

Many longtime “Brangelina” fans know that Angelina has a tattoo located on the upper part of her left arm that may seem like a list of numbers to the unfamiliar eye.

However, it is actually a list of the coordinates (longitude and latitude) of the birthplaces of each of her immediate family members — including Brad’s coordinates — which are found at the bottom of the list.

After spending nearly seven years together as a couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie confirmed their engagement in April of 2012. The Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-stars officially became husband and wife a little more than two years later on August 23, 2014.

The couple’s first biological child, Shiloh, was born on May 27, 2006, in Namibia. Brad and Angelina later became the biological parents of a set of twins — Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline — in July 2008. In addition to their three biological children, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are also the adoptive parents of Pax Thien, Zahara Marley, and Maddox.

In a November, 2014, interview with Tom Brokaw, Angelina made it clear that her marriage to Brad Pitt, after spending nearly a decade together, essentially did change things for the better.

“It did change [things]. It was in just a feeling of that security and comfort that we always had, but recommitting after 10 years together. And we were fortunate enough to be in that unusual situation where we got married with our children, and they were a part of the ceremony and they wrote some of the vows. So it was all of us agreeing to be together and to commit to this life together — not because we had to, not because anything was missing in our lives, but because we were absolutely sure.”

During the same interview, Jolie also admitted that her special day with Brad Pitt “was really lovely.”
