Octomom Squalor: Nadya Suleman Claims Child Welfare Visit Was A ‘Set Up’

Nadya Suleman, the highly controversial mother of 14 children, claims that the child neglect incident earlier this week in which her kids were allegedly living in “squalor” was a “set up.” Octomom told Good Morning America:

“We were set up. I think maybe me and my kids were set up.”

Photos leaked to TMZ.com purported to show Suleman’s family living in “squalor.” According to TMZ, Suleman’s hairdresser, Stephanie, leaked the photographs as she said that Octomom kept her children locked in a room, in addition to forcing her toddlers to utilize training toilets when outside of the family residence.

In response to allegations regarding her toddlers being forced to use training toilets outside of the home, Suleman was quoted by ABC News having said:

“She thought it was unacceptable that they’re, you know, half naked, goin’ potty. I mean, moms out there, come on.”

Suleman responded to the photograph in which she’s seen modeling her fresh hair, while in the background a chair can be seen jammed under the doorknob of the kids’ room, as she told GMA:

“I didn’t want the kids to go in there at the time and one of my older kids jammed the chair up there so they wouldn’t keep opening and closing the door.”

After the photographs were released to the public and received widespread media coverage, California police and welfare officials promptly visited Nadya’s home to investigate, however, officials indicated that nothing unusual was found and that the children were safe. Cindy Knapp of the La Habra Police Department was quoted by ABC News having said:

“They didn’t discover any mistreatment so no further action was taken.”

What do you think of 37-year-old Octomom, Nadya Suleman, and her claims that it was all a “set up?”
