‘Batman V Superman’ And ‘Suicide Squad’ Casts, Including Ben Affleck, Margot Robbie, And Will Smith, Pose For Epic Group Photo

Cast members from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad got together during Comic-Con in San Diego this year for one epic photoshoot. Photos from the shoot, which include both villains and superheroes, have since been released online by The Hollywood Reporter.

The main photo features the stars of both films together for the first time posing for a huge group shot. Along with Zack Snyder and David Ayer, other stars in the photo include Ben Affleck, Jai Courtney, Jesse Eisenberg, Henry Cavill, Will Smith, Jay Hernandez, Cara Delevingne, Gal Gadot, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Adam Beach, and Karen Fukuhara.

Ayer and his Suicide Squad cast arrived at Comic-Con in the middle of filming for the upcoming movie in Toronto. Ayer and his cast flew to San Diego for the event, stayed three hours, then flew back to Toronto to finish up production.

While onstage during Comic-Con, Ayer asked fans “Who’s got the best bad guys out there? DC Comics,” adding “I’m not trying to start no East Coast-West Coast feud with Marvel Comics, but someone has got to say the truth.”

Ayer also released a new trailer for the upcoming film during the event, and although the footage was darker than people had expected he promised that “the real shock is how hilarious it’s going to be.”

At the same time, Smith teased that the group’s appearance at this year’s Comic-Con was “just a little taste. We’ll see them again next year.”

Meanwhile, the second trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was also released during the presentation in Hall H. With all the secrecy surrounding the film, the new trailer offers a few spoilers that help make sense of how the fight between Batman and Superman begins.

The trailer makes it clear that part of the reason Batman is furious with Superman is because the battle of Metropolis completely destroyed one of Bruce Wayne’s office buildings. Batman blames Superman for the destruction of the building, which also took the lives of several of his close employees.

Additionally, the trailer also revealed more about Batman in the coming film. While it was already known that this version of Batman is an older one on the brink of retirement, the trailer depicts him as a reclusive individual living in a decrepit Wayne Manor. Further, the video reveals that Lex Luther has access to kryptonite, and might be working with Batman to create his kryptonite suit.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice opens March 25, 2016, followed by Suicide Squad on August 5, 2016.
