TV5Monde USA Tackles Love, Fear In July Movies: ‘La Répétition-Replay,’ ‘Le Beau Monde – High Society’ ‘8 Fois Debout – 8 Times Up’

TV5MONDE USA is offering up some exciting programming for the month of July. As always TV5MONDE USA strives to bring you the best in documentaries, movies, and competition-related programming. This month kicks off with several dramatic tales focused on love, fear, and friends. Some of the films featured on the French-language channel are 8 Times Up, a story about neighbors Elsa and Mathieu. Replay, a fatal attraction story about a college student named Natalie who has to deal with an obsessive childhood best friend who is fixated on establishing a romantic and sexual relationship with her. Also, High Society an inspirational story that revolves around 21-year-old fashion fanatic who meets a friend that encourages her to pursue her dreams.

La répétition – Replay is an intriguing film about jealousy and deceit. The 2001 drama film tells the dramatic tale of Natalie, a woman who has to deal with a neurotic best friend, Louise, who can’t seem to let her go. Natalie is alarmed after her best friend, Louise, attempts to kill herself when Natalie shows interest in a new group of people at a party. Natalie is relieved when she finally gets away from Louise, but still finds herself as the object of Louise’s obsession affection 10 years later. Replay airs Tuesday, July 21st 2015 at 8:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. PT. Starring: Emmanuelle Béart, Pascale Bussières, and Dani Levy, according to the Internet Movie Database (IMDB).

Le Beau Monde – High Society: A 2014 adventure film that traces the life of 21-year-old Alice of Normandy, a girl who is bored with her life working in a bakery. She is inspired to try her hand at a career in fashion when she meets a stranger who encourages her to attend the presitious École Duperré arts school in Paris. High Society airs Sunday, July 26 at 8:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. PT. Starring: Ana Girardot, Bastien Bouillon, and Baptiste Lecaplain.

8 Fois Debout – 8 Times Up: A 2009 drama film that follows friends and neighbors Elsa and Mathieu as they do everything possible to have a better life and find future opportunities that can change their luck. Elsa’s main concern is taking good care of her son, while Mathieu tries hard to keep his job. 8 Times Up is a drama about living through difficult situations but always striving to make the best of it through establishing good, solid friendships. Airs Thursday, July 30th at 8:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. PT. Starring: Julie Gayet, Denis Podalydès, and Mathieu Busson.
