Sean Sickler And Sara King: Florida Couple Arrested For Putting 4-Year-Old Through ‘Ramming Time’

Sean Sickler and Sara King are both behind bars. If what Sara King’s son says is true, that in the best place for them. King’s 4-year-old son had to be airlifted to All Children’s Hospital with a swollen and bleeding brain. King told authorities that the child had a couple of suspicious accidents during the week.

King said the boy fell and hit his head coming out of a kiddie pool. He later allegedly fell and hit his head on a tree root. However, deputies were able to interview the child in the hospital, and he had a completely different story as to what happened. It involved his mother’s boyfriend, Sean Cody Sickler.

According to the boy, Sickler would enjoy giving what he called “ramming time” to the 4-year-old. “Ramming time” consisted of Sickler grabbing him and ramming his head into the wall.

According to Fox Tampa Bay, numerous other adults and children live in the house along with King and Sickler. Child Protective Services interviewed one of the children in the house. The child confirmed the story to the deputies that Sickler had hit the boy on the head until he passed out.

Sgt. Kevin Pingle of the Sarasota County Deputies Office addressed the press about the situation, and he explained that in no uncertain terms is Sara King, the boy’s mother, a victim.

“There are allegations that the child was struck numerous times. Whether that was an actual strike or pushed to the ground — there was several occasions.

“She was a tenant there. She could of easily left, but she didn’t. She chose to stay.”

Pingle also mentioned that the boy had been being abused by Sickler since 2013. Sean Sickler has been booked on charges of aggravated child abuse. It should be noted that Sickler is a registered sex offender stemming from a sexual battery charge in 2006 involving a minor between the ages of 12 and 15. He has an extensive criminal record.

Sara King has been booked on charges of child neglect. She also has a criminal record. Her arrests number around 15, including grand theft and drug possession.

Fortunately, King’s son will recover. Upon release, Child Protective Services has not yet mentioned where he will be placed.

If a child cannot trust their own parent to protect them, who can they trust? Sean Sickler and Sara King do not deserve to be around children of any kind. They have an extensive rap sheet. However, they still manage to find freedom. What do you feel should be their punishment? Are we failing our kids?
