‘Destiny’: Xur’s Exotic Goods For Weekend Of July 10, Celestial Nighthawk On Sale

One of the final Exotic pieces from “House of Wolves” is on sale with Xur, Agent of the Nine, in Destiny this weekend. PlayStation and Xbox players who want their Hunters to make even larger booms with their Golden Guns have the opportunity to pick up the Celestial Nighthawk.

It’s important to note that there is an issue with Xur’s inventory at the moment that’s preventing him from selling an Exotic weapon as he usually does. Update: Bungie has confirmed that there will be no Exotic weapon for sale this weekend due to the issue.

This weekend, Xûr can be found just outside of the Speaker’s building next to the railing overlooking the city. Turn left as soon as you spawn in the Tower and run straight to the north part of the social space. Here’s where you can find him on the Tower map.

Destiny Xur Tower North Railing (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)

The Exotic Helmet Engram returns for the fourth straight week. If you haven’t been able to get that Exotic helm you wanted in the past, you can try, try, try, try again.

Xûr and his items will only be available in Destiny through the morning of Sunday, July 19. As soon as the clock strikes 5 a.m. ET / 2 a.m. PT, he will be gone.

There are only two more Exotic armor pieces from “House of Wolves” that hasn’t been sold now that the Celestial Nighthawk has been added to the inventory. Bones of Eao and The Ram will have to wait a bit longer, but this week’s other pickups range from poor to great in terms of stat rolls.

Here is what is available for sale and upgrade from Xûr this weekend. Thanks again to DestinyDB for the Exotic information below.

For those wondering what to get, here are a few helpful hints.

Destiny Helm of Inmost Light (PlayStation, Xbox)

The Helm of Inmost Light is a Titan Striker specific helmet and is really a must have for those focused on high damage output. The Invigoration perk reduces the melee cooldown when Orbs of Light are picked up while Rain Blows increases melee attack speed. The Recklessness perk is the headliner though, as it adds Death from Above and Headstrong to Fist of Havoc.

The 99 Strength stat roll is poor for this helmet, especially when the stat was right against the max when it was last sold in April. That makes this a buy only if you are in need of an Exotic for your Titan.

Destiny Celestial Nighthawk (PlayStation, Xbox)

The Celestial Nighthawk is Gunslinger Hunter specific Exotic helmet that gives the Golden Gun a single shot with six times the normal damage. The “Big Game” perk is fun to use in PVE and helpful against tougher enemies that barely flinch from a normal single Golden Gun shot. However, it is not useful at all in PVP, where more three to four shots are preferable over one big one. The “Ashes to Asset” and “Inverse Shadow” perks synch up well with the primary perk by feeding more super energy with grenade and non-grenade kills. This helps generate more Golden Guns to compensate for the single shot.

The 123 Intelligence stat roll is above average for the Celestial Nighthawk and makes this a worthy pickup for PVE players.

Destiny Sunbreakers (PlayStation, Xbox)

The Sunbreakers are for all the Warlock Sunsingers (aka Sunbros) and has a specific focus on the Solar Grenades. The “Serpent’s Tail” perk reduces the grenade cool down when meleeing while the “Helium Cycle” perk increases the duration of the Solar Grenade approximately another two seconds. Faster weapon reloading is also included.

The 111 Intelligence stat roll is only nine under the max, and it has actually been a while since these were sold. If you don’t have a pair or have a pair with a poorer stat roll, this is a good pickup for Warlocks in Destiny this weekend.
