WWE Rumor: Brock Lesnar Vs. Undertaker Rematch Taking Place At ‘SummerSlam’?

It’s strange to hear The Undertaker’s name being mentioned when we’re still several months away from WrestleMania, but with news breaking that the “Dead Man” will be appearing at next month’s SummerSlam event and a few episodes of RAW prior to that it’s only appropriate for WWE fans to speculate as to why he’s being brought back so soon, and what his role will be once he comes back.

There have been some people thinking that since both Undertaker and Sting will be at SummerSlam, the two of them will finally have a match with one another. But, as of right now, that’s not the plan, but they may end up taking each other on at WrestleMania.

The other thing that WWE fans have been predicting is that Undertaker will cost Brock Lesnar his match against Seth Rollins at WWE Battleground, which will of course keep the title on Rollins, while setting up a future match with Lesnar and Undertaker. Well, according to Cage Side Seats, that’s the plan.

It looks like WWE is planning to have Undertaker take on Brock Lesnar at next month’s SummerSlam show, and Undertaker costing Lesnar the title will be the first step in building towards the WrestleMania 30 rematch, where Lesnar shockingly ended Undertaker’s legendary WrestleMania undefeated streak. Since then, Undertaker hasn’t looked for revenge, but now he finally is.

Since the streak has been broken, Paul Heyman has made a point to bring it up in almost every promo. Now, that doesn’t mean that Lesnar vs. Undertaker at SummerSlam has been the plan ever since Lesnar defeated Undertaker, but, that’s definitely something that will be used in the build up to their rematch.

Some people are worried about the timing of this match, as Lesnar couldn’t be a bigger babyface at the moment. Well, it has been explained that Lesnar is neither a babyface nor a heel, he’s just Brock Lesnar. His character hasn’t changed since he returned to WWE in 2012, and the only change is that the fans have embraced him. So, with Undertaker coming back, the fans probably will, at least for a short time, go back to booing Lesnar.

The other concern among some fans is that Undertaker will have to get his win back if he has a rematch with Lesnar, but that’s not necessarily the case. Lesnar could still beat Undertaker, and then Undertaker can shake hands with Lesnar after the match, showing his respect for Lesnar not only ending the streak, but beating him for a second time, which will get the fans back on Lesnar’s side. But, there’s also a chance that WWE could be bringing Undertaker back to beat Lesnar.
