Watch Barbados Tridents Vs. Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel Live Online: CPL Cricket From Port Of Spain

As the Caribbean Premier League season races toward its final week, cricket fans can watch “the biggest party in sport” live online Thursday as the first-place Barbados Tridents visit the Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel, with the Tridents needing another win to clinch the CPL’s top spot and with it, an automatic berth in the league Championship Final on July 26.

To find out how to watch Match Number 26 of the 2015 Caribbean Premier League, Barbados Tridents vs. Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel, live online, see the streaming link in the final paragraph of this article. The match is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time at Queens Park Oval — also the site of the CPL Final — in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago.

That’s the same as United States Eastern Daylight Time, or 5 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time, on Thursday, July 16.

The Red Steel currently bring up the rear of the Caribbean Premier League pack, with five points from six matches in the books out the 10 games on the schedule. The Tridents have occupied first place for most of the tournament, as they do going into Thursday’s showdown.

But their 10-point total comes from five wins in eight matches, giving Barbados a game in hand over the Jamaica Tallawahs and St. Lucia Zouks, who each have nine. In other words, a win on Thursday puts Barbados at 12 points, while Jamaica and St. Lucia could finish with no more than 11, meaning that the Tridents win the CPL group stage.

In the Caribbean Premier League playoff structure, the third and fourth place teams play an elimination game on July 23. The winner of that game then takes on the second place finisher in a send eliminator two days later, with the winner facing the group stage table-topper in the Final the next day.

So if the Tridents win on Thursday, they are guaranteed a place in the Final, needing only to win that single game to be crowned 2015 CPL Champions.

The Tridents have made it to this position largely on the strength of a bowling attack that sees four Barbados bowlers in the top 12 CPL 2015 wicket takers, more than any other team. South African international Robin Peterson leads the way with 12 wickets from 25 overs, good for second in the league.
