El Chapo Guzman’s Orders Lead To Gruesome Killings In An American City

El Chapo Guzman has become the most talked about drug lord in the world in the last few days, due to his audacious escape from a maximum security prison in Mexico.

With a net worth of approximately $1 billion, he was born into a poor family in La Tuna, turning to drug dealing as a means to escape poverty.

Going a bit into his drug trading background, his father was a cattle rancher who had connections with Pedro Aviles Perez, a key figure in the drug trade.

Pedro was El Chapo’s uncle, and is considered one of the pioneers of the trade in Mexico, having been an active player since the 1960s.

This is according to Borderland Beat. It is said that Pedro introduced El Chapo to selling drugs. After establishing some connections, El Chapo was then able to become Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo’s apprentice.

Felix, at one time, headed Mexico’s biggest drug cartel.

Following the arrest of Gallardo in 1989, El Chapo inherited some of his godfather’s trading routes and, over the years, expanded his territory from across Mexico to America, and parts of Central and South America.

With America being the main drug market for the Sinaloa cartel, which Guzman currently heads, Chicago has been one of its main distribution centers.

As such, it is no surprise that the Chicago Crime Commission recently renamed El Chapo as Public Enemy No. 1, following his daring escape from prison on Saturday.

The main reason is that there is now a fear that he may retake control of the ring. The following is according to Joseph Ways, the executive director of the commission.

“This needs to be addressed at the highest levels of the U.S. government and the highest levels of the Mexican government.”

The following is as reported by NBC Chicago.

“However, it seems El Chapo has already began asserting his dominance in Chicago area after victims of warring drug factions were found dead today, with their throats slit.”

According to the Chicago Tribune, the bodies were a message from El Chapo that he is now in control of the city.

“The killers are believed to be connected to the extremely violent Santa Muerte death cult in Mexico; the enforcers depict the Grim Reaper as a saint, and use her as their calling card.”

Brian Sexton, from Cook County State’s prosecution office, had this to say about the people behind the killings.

“They came up here to be enforcers for El Chapo. So only God knows how much they’re responsible for since they’ve been up here … Chicago’s a hub for the whole nation. It’s a center point. It’s a distribution point. You bring it here to Chicago and it will go to Milwaukee, it’ll go to Indianapolis, Detroit, Cleveland. It’s just the natural area for them to want to come to distribute throughout the U.S.”

Presently, the United States is said to have extended its support to Mexico in capturing El Chapo Guzman.
