Sienna Miller Splits With Fiancé Tom Sturridge After Four Years
Sienna Miller has split with Tom Sturridge, ending the couple’s nearly four year engagement. Sources claim that the two had been going through a tough time with their individual lives, as well as raising their daughter. They are reportedly eager to stay good friends, though.
The two had begun dating quietly in 2011, and the Factory Girl star had described Far From the Madding Crowd actor Sturridge as a “grounded, intelligent, kind, and intact person … He’s the perfect balance to my lunacy, which makes him [sound] really boring but he’s not, at all.” They had gotten along well enough to announce their engagement in 2012, and stayed together for just over three years.
According to Us Magazine, Miller may have hinted at the possibility of their split discussing her role as the widow of Chris Kyle’s character in American Sniper.
“I had a huge amount of empathy for Taya. To be going through motherhood on her own, not knowing whether her husband would survive every day, I can’t imagine how difficult that would be.”
It is unknown if Sienna Miller‘s split from Sturridge was on her mind when she said that, or if it was a strange coincidence. Another possible sign of what was to come was when she showed up at the Cannes Film Festival without her engagement ring. That was when the question began to rise about their relationship.

Their vacation in Ibiza earlier this month seemed to be the catalyst, showing them that their differences outweighed their need to stay together for young Marlowe Sturridge. Sienna shows no sign of giving up on her daughter, though.
“It was like, ‘There you are — that’s what I have been missing.’ Like we’re both in on something only we know. An amazing sense of being complicit with a little being.”
