Former Friends Stassi Schroeder & Katie Maloney Make Amends? ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Engagement Statement Revealed

Former friends Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney haven’t been seen together for several months, but according to her latest podcast, Schroeder has “nothing but love” for Maloney. During last week’s episode of Straight Up With Stassi, the former Vanderpump Rules star welcomed her mother, Dayna, and the two chatted about Maloney’s recent engagement.

“It really affected you, though,” Dayna told Schroeder of Maloney’s big news, according to a July 13 report by iRealHousewives.

“When you saw that picture last night, you shut down. Tears were coming out. You were like, ‘Oh, my god, I was supposed to celebrate this moment with her.’ “

The former friends starred alongside one another for years on Vanderpump Rules, but Schroeder will not be seen during Season 4, and she wasn’t present during Tom Schwartz’s proposal. Still, as Bustle reported, Schroeder is happy for her former best friend.

“I’m really happy for her and I’m happy for him, and it’s a-f***king-bout time, right? What have they been together, five years? Tom Schwartz, dragging his f**king a** [laughing]. No, nothing but love and I’m really happy for them.”

While the former friends had a close-knit relationship during Seasons 1 and 2 of Vanderpump Rules, their friendship became strained during Season 3. At the time, the two were at odds over Maloney’s decision to go to Miami with Scheana Marie Shay, whom she previously had issues with. According to Schroeder, she should have been filled in on Maloney’s decision to travel to the east coast before she left. Because she wasn’t, Schroeder chalked up the incident as a betrayal, and the former friends haven’t talked much since.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, the former friends will likely remain estranged, as Schroeder recently quit Vanderpump Rules. After rumors claiming she was fired hit the web, Schroeder released the following statement, via Straight Up With Stassi.

“The decision to leave the show was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, and it’s been something that I have deliberated over for two entire years now. I was so proud of myself when I actually came to a point in my life where I felt confident enough, not just as a woman, but as a person, to be able to say that I’m going to walk away from a lot of financial security. I’m going to walk away from fame.”

Although Schroeder and Maloney haven’t spoken recently, there seems to be hope for the former friends, judging by Schroeder’s latest comments.
