WWE Rumors: Huge Swerve Planned For Main Event Of ‘Battleground’ Between Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins On Sunday

There is less than a week until WWE Battleground, and the card is currently stacked from top to bottom. Still, fans are most looking forward to seeing Brock Lesnar back in the ring and taking on Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. It seems the rumor mill has started up, and WWE appears to have a huge swerve in place for the main event.

On Monday Night RAW, Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar actually walked out almost even. Well, Lesnar destroyed Kane and simply couldn’t get his hands on the champ, but Rollins walked away virtually unscathed.

When something like that happens, it’s hard to judge which way a big Pay-Per-View match will go, because no one got the last laugh. That may not matter much, as Cageside Seats reports a swerve is coming this weekend.

“For that matter, apparently there is a swerve planned for the main event of the show, though there aren’t any details on it just yet.”

This comes after the sight reports that plans are currently in place for Lesnar not to win the WWE Title. Some have thought this would happen, and it would lead to another match between the two superstars at SummerSlam.

Now, the other things that happened at the end of RAW are what make the main event on Sunday a little more confusing.

Last week, J&J Security was destroyed by Lesnar, and they were nowhere to be seen this week. Two days ago on RAW, Kane was demolished by Lesnar and then ridiculed and pounded on by Rollins to humiliate him further.

F4W Online reports that Rollins could show up this Sunday with a new team to back him up, but there is no word as to who will be in it. If that is the case, though, they may show up during the match to bring about the “swerve” being rumored for the main event.

Then again, the swerve could be something else entirely. Either way, it’s hard to imagine that Rollins will be able to hold onto the WWE Title over Lesnar without some kind of help. Not having J&J Security and Kane at his side means he’s going into the main event alone.

WWE Battleground has many believing that Brock Lesnar is going to walk in, destroy Seth Rollins, and take the WWE Title back. If the rumors end up being true and a big swerve does happen, look for it to be Rollins’ getting new back-up and evening the odds against “The Beast.”
