Court Date Looming: Kim Richards Will Appear In Court After Leaving Rehab

A court date is looming for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards. After leaving rehab days ago, the troubled mother of four is due in court to address her April 16 arrest at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

After relapsing months prior, Richards began drinking at her daughter’s house on that fateful night, and ended up at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where she enjoyed at least a couple more drinks. A short while into her visit to the hotel’s Polo Lounge, a favorite spot of her late mother, Richards became a disturbance to guests, and was politely asked to leave, but she refused. Once security was called, Richards refused to leave yet again, and eventually, police arrived to the scene and charged her with public intoxication, resisting an officer, battery on an officer, and trespassing.

Regarding her court date, the Chicago Tribune reported on July 15 that Richards’ upcoming appearance was discussed during Tuesday night’s E! News. During the episode, a source claimed Richards would attend the court date, where she will face her three misdemeanor charges (a trespassing charge against her was dropped weeks ago after the hotel failed to press charges).

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Richards left rehab ahead of her upcoming court date in order to focus more on her career. According to a Radar Online report, a source claimed Richards felt she was cured of addiction, and was hoping to regain her once-successful career in Hollywood.

“Kim left the inpatient program. But she will continue to do outpatient. She said that she was finally cured and is ready to get on with her life because she has so many projects right now and in-patient rehab does not fit into her schedule.”

Richards’ ex-husband, Monty Brinson, who has yet to discuss her upcoming court date, also spoke of her career recently. On Instagram, Brinson shared the following message with fans.

“Kim checked into voluntary because she wanted to help herself, no intervention or told her too. I’m proud of her because she [is] 38 days sober… In the tabloids they say the children have abandoned her which is a complete lie our daughter Brooke and her other children are so proud and by her 100% as well as the regarding the last post was that since everything happen she has been offered multiple things. Its not a comeback she been a actress since she was 4.”

Richards’ court date is scheduled for Thursday, July 16.
