Kim Richards Flees Rehab: Did The Former ‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Star Bail Because Of Nicky Hilton’s Wedding?

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards has bailed on her fancy rehab facility in the middle of the night, a little over 30 days since entering for alcohol abuse. Sources told TMZ she left because “she’d had enough because she wasn’t getting along with the staff, including the doctors.”

Since her very public arrest at the Beverly Hills Hotel back in April, the troubled former child star has been in and out of rehab. She left the first one and was asked to leave the second after a well publicized Mexican meltdown.

While in Mexico for her daughter Brooke’s wedding, Kim reportedly appeared intoxicated, insulted the groom’s family, and angered her daughter, according to the Daily Mail. She also went completely off the grid after the nuptials, leaving friends and family to assume that she was on a bender.

The timing of her decision to ditch rehab leaves some to wonder if it was due to Nicky Hilton’s wedding, which was happening on the same weekend. Most of Kim Richards’ family, including sister and RHOBH costar Kyle, attended the wedding of her niece Nicky to James Rothchild in London on Friday. Although Kim was invited, she didn’t make the wedding, making the timing seem like more of a coincidence.

Kim’s ex-husband, and Brooke’s father, Monty Brinson, had just visited Kim over the July 4 weekend and even shared a few pictures on Instagram. In the photos Kim looked healthy and happy. In the caption for the photos, Monty even took on some tabloid reports and gave an update on Kim’s health.

“Regarding the tabloids with Kim is b******t I will only explain a few things. People make mistakes everyone of us including and if you looked in the mirror you would have to say the same,” he proclaimed in the same post. “Kim checked into voluntary because she wanted to help herself, no intervention or told her too. I’m proud of her because she 38 days sober.”

Kim’s behavior has already led to her getting fired from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Plus, she is still facing up to 2 years in jail after being charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest, and battery on a police officer stemming from the April 16 incident.

Kim’s lawyers reportedly have struck a plea deal and Kim must choose between 30 days of community service, or 30 days in a county jail. She will also be put on three years probation, complete 52 AA classes, and must pay some sort of restitution to the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Only time will tell if Kim Richards has finally overcome her addiction and can stay sober outside of rehab.
