Octomom Nadya Suleman is back in the news (just weeks after her nude pictorial) when it was reported that local Dept. of Family and Children’s Services (DCFS) workers visited the controversial mom’s home due to claims of neglect made by Suleman’s hairdresser.
It’s not the first time Nadya Suleman has been investigated by the local Child Protective Services for claims of neglect, and indeed, since the mom’s massive brood increased, she has been intermittently accused by the general public of neglecting her kids simply due to the fact she has so bloody many of them. (Fourteen at last count.)
Large families like Suleman’s aren’t in and of themselves a bad thing or even a publicly criticized one, but Suleman drew public ire for a litany of other reasons- namely, that she doesn’t have any set plan to support her kids, that she conceived all fourteen of them through expensive IVF treatments without a father to assist her in raising them and… well, that’s a lot of things that Nadya Suleman did to make everyone get super mad at her shenanigans.
And while what goes on in Nadya Suleman’s home is no one’s business but her own, many are concerned that a single parent with no source of income simply is unable to properly care for eight toddlers and six other children.
TMZ got the lowdown on the DCFS visit to Suleman’s home, as well as the allegations investigated based on the hairdresser’s claims:
- the plumbing is a disaster … there is only one working toilet in the house
– some of the kids are pooping on portable training toilets located in their bedrooms and in the backyard
– the kids appear malnourished and unbathed
– she observed Octomom locking her kids in a bedroom while she tended to personal matters
– the house is filthy
According to the gossip site’s report, Nadya Suleman’s kids weren’t taken from her custody, but a follow-up visit is planned.
