Jenny McCarthy Debuts Pink Hair, Causes Jaws To Drop On Twitter
Jenny McCarthy shocked fans, critics, and talk show hosts with a surprising new hair color — pink.
The 42-year-old actress debuted her new look to the rest of the world during a recent appearance on the Today show Tuesday.
McCarthy did not hesitate to share her motivation and overall viewpoint on her new hair color with Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford. At first, she stated that she woke up that morning and said, “I’m feeling pink.”
However, the wife of singer/actor Donnie Wahlberg later explained that it was actually a decision that she considered for quite some time.
“I’m very much about the present moment. This is something I’ve wanted to do forever but you have networks and bosses but you know what, before you hit 80 — like Barbara Walters isn’t going to dye her hair this color!”
Earlier on Tuesday, before her Today show appearance, Jenny McCarthy provided her Instagram followers with a sneak preview of her new look.
Jenny later posted a picture on Instagram that provided her fans and critics with a high-quality, complete look at her new hair behind the scenes of her Today show appearance after it (and her makeup) was done.
To add to the excitement of her new look, Jenny McCarthy FaceTimed her husband, Donnie, on the show. At the time, the 45-year-old actor was busy filming the hit CBS series, Blue Bloods, in New York.
McCarthy spent a moment sharing a laugh with her husband, joking that he should “keep working” so that he could pay for her new hair.
Based on the reactions and responses posted to Twitter, quite a few fans dropped their jaws when they first saw Jenny McCarthy with pink hair.

In addition to debuting her pink hair, Jenny McCarthy was on the Today show to promote her hit reality series, Donnie Loves Jenny. The second season of the A&E series debuts Wednesday, July 15.
