WWE News: Brock Lesnar Vs. Kevin Owens Taking Place At ‘WrestleMania 32’?

Since his main roster call up, Kevin Owens has been one of the most entertaining superstars on WWE television. Several WWE legends, including “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Mick Foley, have given Owens high praise, and it would appear that WWE’s top decision-makers are fully behind Owens as well.

Many people are wondering who Owens will feud with after his program with John Cena ends following SummerSlam. Some have suggested Cesaro, others have suggested someone like Dean Ambrose, both of whom would be fantastic opponents for Owens. However, there is a bigger question: Who will Owens face at next year’s WrestleMania 32?

Kevin Owens appeared at the San Diego Comic-Con and did an interview with Noelle Foley, the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley. He talked about who he would like to face at WrestleMania, and only one name came to mind: Brock Lesnar.

“There are so many but I think I would be partial to Brock Lesnar. I can’t even say [I can beat him] myself but it would sure be fun trying.”

Brock Lesnar vs. Kevin Owens is certainly a match that WWE fans would want to see, and it’s definitely a WrestleMania-caliber match. Right now, Lesnar is the company’s biggest babyface, and Owens is arguably the company’s biggest heel. On paper, it makes sense.

There have been rumors that Owens could end up facing The Undertaker at next year’s WrestleMania, which would be The Undertaker’s retirement match. Again, it’s a match that makes sense, but WWE likely has someone else in mind for “The Phenom.”

There’s another rumor going around that Vince McMahon already has his top six WrestleMania matches planned. Owens is likely involved in one of the six, and Lesnar vs. Owens could very well be McMahon’s plan.

With “Stone Cold” Steve Austin likely not wrestling at WrestleMania 32, there has been some talk of having The Rock take on Brock Lesnar so that the show can have two mega-stars taking each other on in the main event. That would free up Triple H — who is scheduled to be The Rock’s opponent at the show — to take on Seth Rollins at WrestleMania so WWE doesn’t have to do the match at next month’s SummerSlam.

There’s also a chance that WWE does a Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns rematch at WrestleMania 32, where Reigns will finally defeat Lesnar and become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. If Owens is being factored into the WrestleMania plans for Brock Lesnar, he’s likely the third option if both The Rock and Roman Reigns fall through.
