Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams Show Off Disco Moves At The Grand Slam’s Champions Dinner

It was time for a celebration for the Wimbledon champs, Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams. Those two are the new king and queen of disco. The winners of the most well-known of the Grand Slam events showed off their dance moves in front of the world at the tournament’s champions annual dinner in London, according to Yahoo Sports.

In keeping with the tradition, the tennis champs got down to the music of the Bee Gees’ tune, Night Fever. Novak may have been a little surprised by the choice of music that Serena picked out for their special dance. It sounds like he was expecting something more traditional.

“I was actually thinking it was going to be a slower tune, something like a waltz, something more sophisticated, but she wanted to move so she chose ‘Night Fever’ and you can imagine how that went.”

Djokovic had nothing to worry about, because he certainly kept up with the owner of the Serena Slam. The Serbian defended his title in his 7–6 (1), 6–7 (10), 6–4, 6–3 win over former champ Roger Federer, as previously reported by the Inquisitr. After his exhilarating victory, it was definitely time to party for him and his team, along with family and friends.

Williams chose the perfect gown to celebrate in for the annual event. She stunned in a beautiful pale pink sleeveless dress with a glittery bodice and a short train. It was feminine and elegant, and was an excellent choice for the champion’s dinner. As for Novak Djokovic, he didn’t look too shabby either in a suit and tie.

Djokovic and Federer are two great champions of tennis. Even though Roger Federer has more wins at Wimbledon than his opponent does, Novak expressed his pleasure at playing the world No. 2 player.

“It’s a great privilege to play against Roger, who is a great champion. He has done so much for our sport on and off the court. It’s a great honour to play him again. I was aware coming onto the court, that Roger would play his best when it matters the most. He pushes you to limits.”

Even Serena Williams was pushed a little bit by Spain’s Garbine Muguruza on Saturday, but the American came out on top as she claimed her Serena Slam. Now that the pressure is off just a little bit until the U.S. Open happens, she is now able to relax for a few days. She certainly seemed to have fun dancing with Djokovic.

Novak took to Twitter to thank his team who helped with his winning style. The whole crew, including his wife, Jelena, cleaned up nicely.
