Olivia Munn Gets ‘Lubed Up In Latex’ For X-Men: Apocalypse [Video]

Actress Olivia Munn has revealed the secret of how she prepares for her role as the sexy but deadly ninja Psylocke in the forthcoming movie X-Men: Apocalypse. Speaking to Conan O’Brien at the famous film expo, Comic-Con, in San Diego on Saturday, Munn explained that playing a comic book anti-hero isn’t always as easy as some might think. It is no secret that comic book heroes are often portrayed in a way that shows off their assets at their most striking and in a way that doesn’t always translate well to real life.

During the interview with Conan the interviewer showed a picture of Psylocke on-screen and cheekily inquired if Munn’s outfit was as sexy and revealing. Munn was charmingly candid in her reply. Olivia revealed that her outfit was just like the comic book version but she laughingly quipped that there wasn’t quite so much around the butt or bust areas. Olivia went on two explain that it needed the help of two assistants and a lot of lubrication to fit her into her skintight outfit.

According to MTV Olivia went on to explain that getting into the latex outfit was quite a challenge. In doing so Munn managed to get both interviewer and audience a little hot under the collar with her rather graphic description of her dressing room routine.

“They lube me down, and I step into this latex fitting. They lubricate the costume, and they lubricate me. Two women lube me up…

Munn continued “the first day I put on the latex suit I was just really excited to be out there with these guys… and I wanted to do a really good job and then I just popped the crotch. The latex just broke.”

Olivia told Entertainment Weekly that as a long time fan of X-Men she was thrilled to land a part in the new movie.

“It’s one of the coolest things. It really doesn’t feel real. It’s a very cliché thing to say, but it’s just a really surreal thing when you’re on set.”

Olivia revealed that she is terrified of goofing whilst on set. According to 35-year-old Olivia, she is afraid to touch anything in case she breaks it and gets asked to leave the set for good. Munn feels like she is living in a dream world saying that it all feels “very surreal and temporary.”

Fans of Marvel comic books, X-Men, and Olivia Munn will have to wait some time yet to check out the movie. It isn’t due for release until 2016.
