Rosie O’Donnell Attacks Lindsay Lohan Over Elizabeth Taylor Role

The former queen of nice Rosie O’Donnell took to the airwaves on Tuesday to attack actress Lindsay Lohan and her role as Elizabeth Taylor in a new Lifetime biopic titled “Liz And Dick.”

According to Rosie the oft-troubled star isn’t “capable” of playing Liz Taylor because her own life is still in shambles following two DUI arrests, a theft case and now her fight at The Standar Hotel’s Smoke And Mirrors nightclub.

Rosie O’Donnell made her comments to Matt Lauer and Donny Deutsch while appearing on the Today show Tuesday morning. Never one to shy away from knocking other people down Rosie added:

“I feel very sorry for her … I think she needs a lot of time away … She’s had a lot of trouble doing every single movie, including SNL. She was out and not in rehearsal. I think she’s not in a place to work.”

Deutsch then chimed in:

“She’s our generation’s Elizabeth Taylor”

At which point Rosie went all nuts:

“You’re out of your mind! You’re a crackhead! The last thing she did good she was sixteen.” and ”I don’t think she’s right for the role and I don’t think she’s capable at this point to portray that character.”

Rosie O’Donnell knows something about failure, her new show on the Oprah Winfrey owned OWN was cancelled after one season because of abysmal ratings. Rosie blamed the failure of her own show on the people she worked for, then again perhaps Rosie just wasn’t “capable at this point to portray” someone people actually care to watch.
