Christian Bale Gives Ben Affleck Invaluable Batman Advice

From one Batman to another, Ben Affleck revealed a very funny story about how he bumped into Christian Bale in a very ironic location. Christian Bale and Ben Affleck ran into each other at a Halloween store in the Batman costume aisle. Affleck was looking for a costume for his son when Bale approached him. Affleck asked Bale if he had any advice about playing Batman.

“Before we started the movie I was getting my kid a Halloween costume. My son is really into Batman. We went to a costume store in Los Angeles… it was pretty empty. And I was in the aisle and I heard this ‘Oi!’, and I turned around, and it’s Christian Bale! And there he and I were, standing in the Batman section. I said, ‘Do you have any tips?’,’ an apparently awestruck Affleck asked. Bale’s answer? ‘Make sure you can p**s in that suit.’

Bale’s sage advice to Affleck is pretty hilarious. Out of all the times that Christian Bale has portrayed Batman, the most important thing he could say was to make sure you can go to the bathroom. Not be in great shape, talk in a deep gravelly voice, or ignore all the criticism since you can’t please everyone. Nope. Make sure you can urinate is his best advice.

Ben Affleck revealed this story during his appearance at Comic-Con 2015 in San Diego, California. This was Affleck’s first public appearance since he and Jennifer Garner split. Affleck did not comment about the rumor of being romantic with Margot Robbie.

Ben Affleck is slated to play Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Affleck was joined by Henry Cavill, who will play Superman, on the Comic-Con 2015 panel. It was during this panel that the world got a look at the official trailer for the future blockbuster movie.

In the trailer, we find out just why Batman wants to take Superman down. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will pick up where Man of Steel ends. We see that during the fight between Superman and Zod, a building owned by Bruce Wayne is destroyed and the people inside presumed dead. We even get a potential easter egg in what looks like the handwriting of The Joker on a newspaper article about the destruction of the building owned by Wayne. The trailer is being talked about all across the internet.

At the end of the day, Ben Affleck, and not Christian Bale, is going to be Batman for the near future. Someday, another actor may ask Affleck advice on how to play Batman.
