Evelyn Lozada Talks Pregnancy, Miscarriage Scare On ‘Livin’ Lozada’ OWN Show [Videos]

Those familiar with reality TV shows like Basketball Wives have long known the name Evelyn Lozada. Evelyn was one of the breakout stars of the show, known as a part of the “mean and evil twins” along with once best friend Jennifer Williams. Lozada was shown running across a table barefoot in order to try and attack one of her cast mates — and was famously displayed tossing a champagne bottle at another.

However, when Evelyn herself became the victim of domestic violence at the hands of her ex-husband, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, she began to turn over a new leaf. Her newfound “om-ness” is being tracked on her new Livin’ Lozada show on OWN.

“It’s not good. I went [to the doctor] yesterday and she’s like, ‘Everything seems fine.’ When I was on my way here, she left me a voicemail. She said that my hormone levels have dropped. When you’re pregnant, your hormone levels are supposed to be in the thousands; [mine] went all the way down to 50. Most likely, I’m going to end up miscarrying the baby.”

As reported by the Huffington Post, Evelyn’s pregnancy joy turns to worry as she tells Shaniece that a miscarriage could be a possibility. The women try to encourage one another to think positively about the pregnancy.

The Livin’ Lozada page on Oprah provides more video clips from the show. Lozada learns more news about her pregnancy — and waits with nervous anticipation after taking more tests to discover if her pregnancy will survive. Shaniece has a big modeling gig to launch her new business, but at the same time, she asks if Lozada has called because she’s worried about her mother.

“In the back of my head, I’m really nervous that my mom hasn’t called yet. I hope my mom is okay.”

Evelyn, meanwhile, occupies her time by having fun with her 1-year-old son, Leo. Lozada was able to begin anew with baseball player Carl Crawford after her short-term and tumultuous marriage to Chad ended.

“I look at Leo, and I’m thankful for him. He makes me feel happy. So me playing with him is a way to cope with everything that’s going on.”

Lozada, 39, has taken a break from the hot glare of reality TV shows for a couple of years in order to work on her own mind and life. Now she’s back, better, healing, and more whole, without the pressure to amp up fights every second on TV. Evelyn’s Instagram account enjoys nearly two million followers, and she has a large following on Twitter and Facebook as well.

Viewers will have to wait to find out more about Lozada’s pregnancy on the episode of Livin’ Lozada that airs on Saturday, July 18 at 9 p.m. ET on OWN. As reported by the Inquisitr, another hot reality show is Seven Year Switch.
