Camille Cosby Doesn’t Believe Bill Cosby Is A Rapist, Says Husband’s Accusers Consented To Drugs And Sex

Camille Cosby is standing by her husband in the wake of the release of Bill Cosby’s shocking deposition testimony. The comedian’s wife believes his accusers consented to drugs and sex.

Two sources close to the couple tell the New York Post that Camille Cosby is well aware that her husband is a serial cheater, but she does not believe her husband ever raped anyone.

“Camille still doesn’t believe that Bill provided drugs and had sex with women without their consent. She’s well aware of his cheating, but she doesn’t believe that her husband is a rapist. Mrs. Cosby is a proud, dignified but stubborn woman. You can say that she’s standing by her husband, but really, the more people stand against him, the more she perceives it as an affront to her and all that she’s done to make him a star.”

According to the sources, at a crisis meeting earlier this week, Camille Cosby, who is also Bill Cosby’s business manager, insisted the comedian’s representatives “get back out in front of this,” as supporters are quickly abandoning the 78-year-old comedian. Camille allegedly told those in attendance at the meeting that the damage to her husband’s image can be “fixed.”

“I created him. I knew what I was getting and we’ll fix this. They are making him out to be such a bad guy, a monster.”

Camille Cosby’s desire to salvage what is left of her husband’s public image is not surprising, as she publicly defended him late last year after numerous women came forward to accuse the comedian of drugging and sexual assault. In a statement to Entertainment Weekly in December, Bill Cosby’s wife likened the claims against her husband to the ones printed in a Rolling Stone article about an alleged rape at the University of Virginia. The story was later discredited and Rolling Stone retracted the article, as the Inquisitr previously reported.

“We all followed the story of the article in the Rolling Stone concerning allegations of rape at the University of Virginia. The story was heart-breaking, but ultimately appears to be proved to be untrue. Many in the media were quick to link that story to stories about my husband – until that story unwound. None of us will ever want to be in the position of attacking a victim. But the question should be asked – who is the victim?”

A source close to the couple tells the New York Post it is not so much Bill Cosby’s cheating that bothers Camille, but the fact that his affairs were “personal,” between herself and her husband.

“She stopped being embarrassed long ago by her husband’s affairs, but cannot tolerate the invasion of privacy.”
